"A rose by any other name..."

shakespeare canal HART’s Shakespeare series has been known as "Shakespeare on the Canal"…but should we find another name?

We have been known as Shakespeare on the Canal over these past years.... but many Indy residents think of the canal as being a bit further the Indiana State Museum (with their fun Summer Sounds Concert Series), the Eiteljorg Museum (with the lovely Christel DeHaan Family Terrace overlooking the water) and the Indiana Historical Society (which hosts those awesome Concerts on the Canal!)

Where exactly are WE located?

HART's outdoor Shakespeare productions happen in White River State Park with the beautiful White River as our backdrop. Our lovely amphitheater is nestled between the bridge that leads to the Indianapolis Zoo on one side and the canal located in front of the NCAA on the other side. IUPUI's NIFS is also close by, and White River State Park's Celebration Plaza is where you'll find our food trucks plus beer and wine when we produce The Taming of the Shrew this summer on Aug 9th and 10th!

HART’s Shakespeare on the Canal has a nice ring to it….but should we change it to something more accurate??

Please post any and all ideas to our Facebook page!
